Coaches and Athletic Directors gathered with representatives of Graber Post Buildings, Inc., Wednesday, April 21st, to conduct the blind draw for the 5th annual Graber Post Buildings Classic. The draw came at the conclusion of a tournament meeting and luncheon at the Gasthof Restaurant near Montgomery, Indiana.

     This year’s tournament begins Tuesday, December 28th at 3pm with Washington Catholic taking on Springs Valley.  The 4:30 game features the newest team in the tournament, Clay City playing 2A Regional Champion Forest Park.  The bottom bracket of the tournament houses the last 2 tournament champions, Brownstown Central and South Knox.  The Braves and Spartans will tangle on opening night in game 3 at 6pm.  And the final game of the Classic’s first night features blood rivals North Daviess and Barr-Reeve playing at 7:30. 

     First round games will be played on Tuesday, December 28th, with second round and Championship round games scheduled for Wednesday and Thursday, December 29th and 30th.  Each of the 8 teams will play 3 games in 3 days, with game times scheduled each day at 3pm, 4:30, 6pm, and 7:30, Eastern time.  All games will be played again this year at North Daviess High School, located between Odon and Elnora, Indiana. 

     Next year’s field of 8 sports 4 Sectional Champions (Barr-Reeve, Brownstown Central, Forest Park, and South Knox), 2 Regional Champions (Barr-Reeve and Forest Park), and 1 Semi-State Champion (Barr-Reeve – Class A State Runner-up).

     Tournament Director and Vice President of Operations at Graber Post Buildings, Jonathan Graber, said his company is “very excited about this year’s lineup.  Our tournament continues to be a real crowd pleaser and has become one of the top Holiday Tournaments in the state.   We’ve had 4 great tournaments thus far, and we expect this year’s Classic to be the best one yet”.
